Deputy Governor of Sevastopol Igor Malozemov stated this on the air of Wired Sevastopol Radio.
According to him, the government is currently carrying out preparatory work to launch a mortgage lending program.
“I think that within two to three months at most we will start launching the program. The single operator was practically created on the basis of the existing fund. There are specialists, they just need to undergo additional training according to Russian standards,” Malozemov said.
He did not rule out that some special conditions for providing loans would be provided for Sevastopol, more favorable compared to the rest of Russia.
“We will try to work through some issues. There is Russian legislation. Comfortable conditions have been created there using maternity capital. I think that from the 15th year it will be possible to receive money that will be used for construction. Then, there is a program that allows you to reduce the cost per square meter. Reducing housing costs by up to 20% is a global task,” the official emphasized.
He also noted that there are already about a thousand mortgage applicants in line, who were included in this list under the Ukrainian government: “There are about a thousand mortgage applicants who took out loans in Ukraine or were selected for loans. They are now looking forward to the launch of the mortgage lending system.”
According to Malozemov, the Bank of Russia and Verkhnevolzhsky Bank have already announced their readiness to work on mortgage lending. Over time, he is sure, other banks will begin to join the program.
He also noted that a single regional operator, OJSC Agency for Housing Mortgage Lending, is in the process of being created.
