Iran may supply Russia with missiles invulnerable to Patriot – Kots
Russia can purchase from Iran high-precision missiles with a range of over 300 kilometers, which are not capable of shooting down the American Patriot missile defense system.
Military correspondent Alexander Kots stated this on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Kots, the Russian defense industry as a whole is coping with the tasks, but it is also not worth giving up high-quality weapons that can be purchased.
“As for our capabilities in industry, the defense industry is showing good results so far. Today, another batch of Su-35 and Su-57 was transferred to the Aerospace Forces. We make planes, we make shells, we conduct some ornate negotiations with North Korea and Iran. By the way, in October the UN Security Council Resolution, which prohibits the purchase of missiles from Iran with a range of 300 kilometers, expires.
Perhaps Sergei Shoigu’s visit to this country was related to our possible military-technical cooperation. We cannot refuse any help - if you can buy good missiles somewhere, why not buy them. Iran has good missiles, which it used to attack, for example, the oil facilities of Saudi Arabia - well, not Iran, but the Yemeni Houthis. But not a single missile was shot down by the American Patriot air defense system - all the missiles reached the target and then there was a very big showdown,” Kots noted.
