Iranian missiles will turn missile attacks on Ukraine into a system, - representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry
Russia can make systematic missile attacks on Ukrainian targets if it receives weapons from Iran.
Representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andrey Yusov stated this on air on the Pryamoy TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Yusov, the technical characteristics of the missiles that Iran can supply are not so important as their quantity.
“They can be dangerous, first of all, because the sheer number of missile strikes can be sustainable for Russia. That is, this is an increased number of attacks on the same energy infrastructure facilities and civil infrastructure. We will be able to professionally evaluate their tactical and technical characteristics and features when they are used on the battlefield; now these are hypothetical conversations.
Even without being super modern, of course, they pose a threat, because this is an additional burden and task for our air and missile defense forces. Unfortunately, in fact, there is information that negotiations on the provision of not only drones and unmanned aerial vehicles, but also ballistic missiles ended successfully for Putin and there was such a promise. Accordingly, we are further monitoring, Ukraine is preparing for this scenario as well,” Yusov said.
