Irina Gerashchenko continues to spoil the captured militias
Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Irina Gerashchenko, mocked the militia during the New Year's prisoner exchange, continues to spoil the arrested supporters of the Russian Spring - she ignores the meetings at the negotiations in Minsk, disrupts the signing of a document on the obligation to stop torturing prisoners.
Victoria Talakina, press secretary of the Speaker of the DPR Parliament Denis Pushilin, reported this, commenting on today’s round of negotiations in Minsk, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“There was no understanding that the parties signed a declaration prohibiting torture of prisoners. Let us remind you that over the course of four meetings, the Ukrainian side finds reasons not to agree on the text of the declarative statement, in which the parties to the conflict undertake to provide decent conditions for keeping prisoners, including providing them with medical care,” she emphasized.
Talakina also reported that Ukraine again did not send its representative to the meeting of the subgroup on humanitarian issues.
“Since January 2018, the representative of Ukraine in the subgroup on humanitarian issues, Irina Gerashchenko, has visited only three times. Wherein heartbreaking posts does so on social networks and on media resources with enviable regularity. The rest of the time, the Ukrainian side is represented by so-called experts who are simply not endowed with the appropriate powers by the Ukrainian government to conduct the negotiation process. In such conditions, it is extremely difficult to talk about progress in such important issues for the republics as the exchange of prisoners or the search for missing persons,” writes Talakina.
