The government of the Irkutsk region will allocate almost half a billion rubles for the purchase of new equipment for schools and kindergartens in settlements affected by severe flooding.
The governor of the Irkutsk region, communist Sergei Levchenko, announced this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the head of the region, from September 1, 25 out of 31 educational institutions in flooded settlements will resume work.
“The regional government will allocate 468,5 million rubles to purchase the property of schools and kindergartens lost as a result of the flood. By the new school year, educational, educational and laboratory equipment, furniture, technological equipment for catering units and school buses will be purchased for educational institutions affected by the flood.
The disaster caused damage to 18 educational and 14 preschool educational organizations, where 4 schoolchildren and 756 preschoolers study and are educated. Of the 1777 educational institutions, 32 will begin operating from September 1: 25 preschool and 10 general education. Children from seven institutions that will not be restored by the new school year will be redistributed to other institutions,” Levchenko said.
