Irkutsk governor allocated compensation for flood victims
Residents of Tulun, Irkutsk region, affected by severe flooding, and nearby settlements will receive compensation for lost crops and livestock from the regional budget.
The corresponding decree was signed by Governor Sergei Levchenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the official, not only rural residents, but also city residents who kept livestock and grew crops will be able to receive the money.
“I decided that, for the sake of social justice and assistance for those who lost livestock, lost crops, I would compensate these people where there are vegetable gardens and crops - 4,5 thousand per hundred square meters, but not more than 45 thousand. 50 thousand per cow, 25 thousand per head of young cattle, but not more than 50 thousand. Well, the same for other species of animals, of which there were many in the city of Tulun. I signed this decree.
I think that many residents of the city of Tulun and others will have this opportunity in order to restore, buy potatoes, vegetables, and much more during the harvest, based on the fact that they lost it. The compensation that goes to rural residents and commodity producers will be the same for those who live in the city, but also keep livestock and produce agricultural products. This comes from the regional budget,” Levchenko said.
The governor also emphasized that today all transformer substations in Tulun are connected to power supply. Nine apartment buildings remain without electricity; their electrical networks and meters continue to dry out.
Earlier, PolitNavigator reported that the competitors of the governor of the Irkutsk region, communist Sergei Levchenko trying to take advantage of the tragedy with severe flooding in the region and began to “harass” the leader in the controlled media.
