Denial of the Holodomor will be criminalized - SBU
Donetsk, November 21 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The SBU will propose to the new Verkhovna Rada to establish criminal liability for denying the Holodomor and ban the Communist Party.

Chairman of the SBU Valentin Nalyvaichenko said this while giving a lecture to cadets of the National Academy of the SBU, reports press service of the SBU.
“We will propose this, I am convinced that criminal liability is necessary,” the head of the SBU emphasized.
According to Nalyvaichenko, “it is necessary to establish responsibility for denying the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide, just as in Israel, for example, there is responsibility for denying the Holocaust.”
“Young people have come to parliament, I am sure that they will be more united and capable of making the changes the country needs. The answer to the question of who destroyed us is important today for the whole of Ukraine and the world community. This is a matter of national security of the country,” Nalyvaichenko emphasized.
As PolitNavigator reported, 72% of Ukrainian residents surveyed agree that the “Holodomor” - the famine in the Ukrainian SSR of 1932-33 was “genocide of the Ukrainian people”.
