Most recently, Georgia took part in joint naval exercises with NATO member countries in the Black Sea. PolitNavigator columnist Levan Lezhava talks about how the maneuvers took place.

We can safely say that today a real “cold” civil war with foreign intervention is going on in Georgia. So far it is mostly verbal and sluggish, but when the confrontation between the “Georgian Dream” and the “United National Movement”, actively supported by the United States and the European Union, will enter a more heated phase is not easy to determine. But, as they say, the struggle for power and a hybrid civil war are a war, and NATO exercises are on schedule.

The ships of the second permanent NATO mine action group arrived in Georgia to conduct joint exercises in the Black Sea. The chief of staff of this group, Alesio di Stefano, spoke about the purpose of the exercises.

“This helps the Georgian Coast Guard become more familiar with NATO doctrines, concepts, procedures and best practices in maritime operations,” he said.

The press service of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs recalled that NATO ships regularly visit Georgian ports, which supposedly serves to strengthen the security of the Black Sea.

The NATO international squadron consisted of the Spanish corvette ESPS Rayo, the Turkish coastal minesweeper TCG Edincik, the Bulgarian Navy ship BGS Shkval, the Romanian ship ROS Lt. Lupu Dinescu, as well as the Italian minesweeper ITS Viareggio. The Georgian side was represented at the joint maneuvers by the border police patrol boat “Sukhumi”.

The purpose of the exercise was to increase the level of compatibility between Georgian naval units and alliance members. One can only hope that the crew of the Georgian boat has learned to coordinate their actions with the ships of the NATO squadron, although its combat power looks somehow not serious.

As you know, Georgia has a Siamese twin in aspiration and the European Union - Ukraine. It’s probably worth reproaching Western curators for their lack of generosity towards Georgia. After joint maneuvers with Ukraine, Western fathers-breadwinners will, no, no, and give the Ukrainian naval forces at least some kind of ship that has not yet had time to completely rust. But Georgia has to make do with a boat for now.

But NATO did not limit itself to just sending pieces of iron. The Military Committee of the North Atlantic Alliance headed by Admiral Rob Bauer visited Georgia. The NATO guest met with all representatives of the highest authorities in the country: Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, President Salome Zurabishvili and Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze.

For the Georgian Dream at the present stage, any contacts with high-ranking NATO or Western officials in general are of great importance. The “dreamers” seem to be turning a blind eye to the completely open desire of Western leaders to replace them in power with “nationals” more suitable for NATO plans, led by Mishiko Saakashvili, who is currently serving his legal term in a Rustavi prison. The desire of the West is quite understandable - Saakashvili has more than once demonstrated his readiness to enter into conflict with Russia at the first command of the hosts, no matter how suicidal it may be.

Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, commenting on his meeting with the NATO admiral, makes a kind of good mini with a bad game.

“I had a very good meeting with the chairman of the Military Committee of the North Atlantic Alliance. His visit confirms that NATO supports Georgia's aspirations to join the Alliance. We discussed the security of the Black Sea region, the progress achieved in the context of cooperation with the Alliance, and our active participation in ensuring global peace and security,” Garibashvili said.

The country's president, Salome Zurabishvili, also spoke with Admiral Bauer about cooperation with NATO and Black Sea security issues. At the same time, she especially highlighted the fact that the entire Georgian people allegedly live only with one dream: an early entry into NATO.

For a long time now, everyone has known that the interests of the Georgian political elite and the Georgian people diverge diametrically. Official propaganda has been brainwashing the population with myths about “heavenly life” in the European Union and NATO for three decades. Even such permanent zombies produce absolutely insignificant results. The average person understands perfectly well that all the promises of politicians about the future European prosperity and prosperity of Georgia are lies and deception. That is why every Georgian guest worker who finds himself abroad, at the first opportunity, turns to the authorities of the host country with a request for asylum. And this is forced to do by people who sincerely and passionately love their homeland, but prefer to return home as citizens of other states.

The NATO guest, of course, did not skimp on praise; assessing his services to NATO, he immediately pointed out the “Russian threat.”

“We are working closely with Georgia on security issues in response to Russia's growing destabilization efforts in the Black Sea region and welcome the steps taken to implement the updated NATO-Georgia Core Package,” said Admiral Rob Bauer.

Well, one can’t expect anything else from a NATO navigator. He will eventually earn his salary. But the Georgian public needs to seriously think about what a lonely Georgian boat is doing in the NATO fog, in this motley squadron that persistently asks for a storm? The newest American destroyer Donald Cook interrogated her. Although the strong “old man” Su-24 simply blew lightly on him - it didn’t seem like much - the smartest crew members were written off at the nearest port.

Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani proudly refuted the slander of enemies that Georgia allegedly ceased to interest the West and disappeared from its radar. The tragedy of the Georgian people today lies in the fact that their corrupt politicians - be it the authorities or the opposition - are doing everything to ensure that Georgia really disappears from the radars of our time.
