Islamists who fought in Syria and Donbass are going to Crimea
Moscow - Simferopol, October 8 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - The Ukrainian authorities decided to take advantage of the fragile truce in the southeast of the country in order to organize unrest in Crimea together with Islamic radicals. NG reports this with reference to several “independent sources”.

Yesterday, the mufti of the recently recreated Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea (Tauride Muftiate), Ruslan Saitvaliev, said that on “social networks, adherents of the Crimean Wahhabis and Hizb ut-Tahrir are calling for a war to start in Crimea.” At the same time, he notes that there are many supporters of such views on the peninsula. This means that the threat of terrorist attacks is quite real. The Center for the Study of National Conflicts, which prepared a map of tensions in the regions of Russia, has also come to the conclusion that part of the Crimean Tatar population in Crimea may gradually become radicalized, and interethnic confrontation may increase. That is, the forecast for the possible development of events on the peninsula is disappointing, writes NG.
The possibility of terrorist attacks in Crimea is also admitted by Igor Druz, an adviser to the leader of the militia of the Donetsk People's Republic, Igor Strelkov, in the recent past. A friend recently reported that militant groups for operations on the peninsula were formed from Crimean Tatars who had previously fought in Syria. Now, according to him, they are undergoing training at one of the bases of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region. He believes that during sabotage actions, important infrastructure facilities - in particular, railway junctions and stations - can be destroyed. But the main goal of the militants, according to Igor Druz, is to “raise a rebellion.”
NG sources in law enforcement agencies report that there are now two main bases for recruiting Muslim militants in southern Ukraine. First of all, this is the so-called Muslim Cultural Center. It is located in Dnepropetrovsk, a few blocks from the regional administration. It is supervised by the deputy heads of the region, Igor Kolomoisky, Boris Treygerman and Boris Filatov. The second recruitment point operates in Genichesk, where the headquarters of the Crimean Tatar “Mejlis in Exile” is located. The leaders of the Mejlis and Kolomoisky recently signed a Memorandum on joining forces in the fight for the liberation of Crimea.
According to experts, the greatest danger to Russia is now concentrated in Dnepropetrovsk. Experts draw attention to the fact that “in recent days, information about the reorganization of the special battalion “Crimea”, which was destroyed in Novorossiya, has been actively discussed on social networks. As is known, it was created with Kolomoisky’s money and was staffed, among other things, by Islamic militants. Now Kolomoisky has financed the replenishment of the battalion with Right Sector militants. The battalion was given a new task - sabotage on the territory of the Crimean Federal District.
