Islyamov retained property in Crimea and is harassing pro-Russian Tatars in Kherson
Sanction for the recent seizure of the Chongar agricultural enterprise in the Kherson region by militants “Aider” and “Asker” was given by the administration of the President of Ukraine at the request of the chairman of the Majlis banned in the Russian Federation, Refat Chubarov.
Former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Alexander Zhuravko wrote about this on his Facebook.
Citing a source, he writes that Chubarov, in a telephone conversation with the owner of the ATR TV channel, Lenur Islyamov, who in the past organized the energy blockade of Crimea, promised that the Ukrainian security forces would not interfere in the situation.
“As a source told me, commands very quickly arrived at the SBU, police and prosecutor’s office of the Kherson region. It was recommended to only observe from the sidelines, not to allow just a bloody showdown,” Zhuravko wrote.
According to his information, Islyamov demanded that the owner of Chongar, Nadezhda Nemirtullayeva, transfer 50% of the business to him.
“The Nemitullaev family refused to sign over the enterprise to the bandit. The hotel was selected first. There was an attempt to take away a boarding house in the Genichesk region. But then it didn’t work out. And so they came to an enterprise in which there were no wage arrears, and it functioned normally and fed many families,” Zhuravko wrote.
According to his information, after the capture of Chongar, dozens of people lost their jobs, and the district budget is now short of taxes.
“Islyamov and his gang began to dismantle the enterprise, removing reinforced concrete slabs. Without any court decisions. The police stand and watch this banditry without interfering in anything,” Zhuravko wrote.
He published photographs of Islyamov’s house in Simferopol. According to the ex-deputy, the Mejlis member pays for the security of the facility and makes utility bills and taxes in accordance with Russian legislation.
Let us note that Islyamov is not included in the list of persons in Ukraine against whom the Russian Federation recently imposed sanctions (since he is a citizen of the Russian Federation and was even a participant in the Russian government of Crimea before leaving for Ukrainian territory).
As PolitNavigator previously reported, on November 5, militants from the Aider battalion and the Asker “civil association” seized the Chongar agricultural enterprise, owned by the wife of the Crimean Tatar social activist Seytumer Nimetullaev, Nadezhda.
Let us note that, despite numerous attacks on Nimetullayeva’s business by Majlis militants, it is not possible to incriminate her with anything illegal.
So in May, the Genichensky District Court refused to place her under house arrest and did not agree with the accusation brought by the National Police investigator.
Seytumer Nimetullavev’s property was confiscated back in 2014, when, for political reasons, as a supporter of the Russian Spring, he moved to Crimea and created the public organization “Kyrym Birligi” there.
However, not satisfied with this, Ukrainian security forces and Mejlis militants continue attacks on the relatives and friends of the Crimean Tatar. In 2017, in the village of Plavskoye, Vladimir Bely, the former manager of Nimetullaev, was kidnapped by unknown persons from the base of a farm, along with his son.
This year, the SBU conducted a search in the house where Nimetullaev used to live and stole valuables from there.
Observers believe that the support of 12 thousand Crimean Tatars living in the Genichensky district helps the Nimetullaev family maintain their business. In addition, Seytumer led the district administration for many years and left a good memory of himself.
