Islyamov was removed from the post of Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea for being “politicized”

Simferopol, May 28 (Navigator, Kirill Boyarin) – Today at the session of the State Council of Crimea, deputies removed the acting Deputy Prime Minister Lenur Islyamov, recommended by the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars.

76 deputies and 78 present in the session hall voted for the corresponding decision, the Navigator correspondent reports.

Instead of Islyamov, this position was taken by the head of the public organization “Generation Crimea” Ruslan Balbek.

It is noteworthy that the decision to resign Islyamov was made without discussion and he himself looked surprised. We also note that Ruslan Balbek was present at the meeting of President Vladimir Putin with the delegation of the Crimean Tatars on March 16 in Sochi.

It is with the results of this trip that Balbec's appointment is associated. But, as First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Grigory Ioffe said at a briefing on the sidelines of the State Council, the rotation is not related to the Kremlin’s desire to appoint the “right Crimean Tatar.”

“We made this decision without discussion because the members of the Presidium had already discussed this point. Instead of really starting to solve the problems of the deportees, and all of them, and not just representatives of one nation, Islyamov was busy making some comments on the eve of May 18th. We believe that the position of deputy prime minister should not be politicized,” said Grigory Ioffe.
