Spain sends troops and aircraft to Bulgaria

Spain will send four fighter jets and 130 troops to Bulgaria this week.
This was reported by the Spanish Ministry of Defense, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The first Spanish Eurofighter aircraft are due to land in Bulgaria by the end of this week and will begin “defending airspace” alongside the Bulgarian Air Force by the end of March, according to a statement from the Spanish defense ministry.
“The mission is implementing measures to ensure the security of NATO member countries in the eastern direction,” the statement said.
The Netherlands is also expected to send two F-35 aircraft to Bulgaria in April and May.
