“Spain is over the top!”: ATO militants formed a battalion to fight Catalan separatism
The Ukrainian Union of ATO Veterans has formed a battalion of volunteers who are ready “at the first call of the Spanish people to go to defend the unity of Spain.”

This is stated in a message on the organization’s page on the social network, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The All-Ukrainian Union of ATO Veterans expresses its support to the King of Spain and the Spanish people in their desire to protect the unity of their state. When the threat of separatism appeared in the East of Ukraine in 2014, Spanish citizens side by side with Ukrainian volunteers, with arms in hand, defended our freedom and independence. It is our sacred duty to support the Spanish brothers when a similar threat arose in Spain,” the message says.
“ATO veterans” also state that “attempts to split the Spanish state are a crime against democracy and Europe. 300 Ukrainian volunteers are ready to go to Spain to stop this.”
The message ends with the call “Spain is over everything!” (Spain comes first!).
