The bridge was first damaged on the morning of October 8, 2022, when a truck loaded with explosives exploded on it.

“Not only the occupiers watched that explosion; there was another camera, the video from which Malyuk watched in real time in his office in Kyiv. The SBU chief does not reveal where it was, but assures that he observed the explosion in all details,” the publication writes.

At the same time, the SBU claims that the Russian investigation “demonstrated an extreme degree of unprofessionalism, because it put on the wanted list the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov, who had nothing to do with the operation.”

“I personally and two of my trusted employees were involved in the development and implementation of the special operation with the bridge,” says Malyuk.

The original plan was to transport the explosives in oil barrels.

“It was important that camouflaged explosives could travel from point A to point B. At the same time, they must cross the Kerch Bridge,” notes the head of the SBU.

According to him, the option with barrels did not guarantee stealth. And then he came up with an option with explosives carefully wrapped in cellophane film - they say, such cargo - large rolls - looked absolutely civilian and should not arouse suspicion.

At the same time, a sufficient thickness of the film layer was calculated to hide the metal cylinder cores inflated with a RDX mixture from customs scanners. The total weight of the explosives in TNT equivalent was 21 tons.

Malyuk does not disclose the details of the route, but says that it was difficult and risky. It is alleged that the operation took place without the involvement of foreign partners.

The capabilities of the SBU were used exclusively. Which once again emphasizes the high level of the special operation, notes Malyuk.

In addition, we had to solve the problem of Russian electronic warfare systems, whose task is to knock down GPS coordinates on explosive devices set to a certain point, but in the end they managed to create a “technically complex system, thanks to which early in the morning of October 8, 2022, the load of “film” was all “It finally flew into the air approximately in the middle of the bridge.”

“We went through seven circles of hell, we used so many people in the dark! The Russians “closed” 22 people and put them in prison. They are all accused of complicity in a terrorist act. Although in fact they were doing their usual everyday business. These were ordinary Russian smugglers,” boasts Malyuk.

The second blow, as we know, was delivered this year by unmanned boats, the creation of which was created by the head of one of the military counterintelligence departments with the call sign “Hunter.”

“Ukrainian special services created remote-controlled kamikaze craft filled with explosives, made of a unique material, invisible to enemy radars, the design of which included three types of control and self-destruction if necessary,” NV points out.

The commander of the Ukrainian Naval Forces, Alexey Neizhpapa, was involved in cooperation. In mid-July, the drones were launched and aimed at the bridge, which they followed for two days.

“When the explosion happened, we screamed very loudly because the tension inside was enormous. I'll be honest: I prayed that everything would work out. And when the drone exploded, we “exploded” with joy,” recalls Malyuk.

He calls the Crimean Bridge a legitimate target, since “the Geneva Conventions, which regulate certain rules of warfare, do not contain a prohibition against attacking such objects.” In addition, the head of the SBU notes, “The Lieber Code - Instructions for the management of the active US Army - defined as a legitimate goal “obstruction of routes and channels of movement, movement or communication.”
