Ukraine entered the pandemic situation completely weakened, without a single strategic partner in the world, and after emerging from it, it will find itself under the control of those who will not disdain it.
Political scientist Andrei Ermolaev stated this at a conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine will emerge from the depression with huge losses, apparently not just in a state of semi-colony, but in the state of a country dismantled into spheres of influence by external players. Naturally, we will survive as a republic, but the huge markets on which the future of Ukraine depended, the economies associated with old industrial clusters, the huge agricultural market - all this will be under the strict control of external players.
But politically, Ukraine will remain in the buffer zone without a specific status. Please note that in a pandemic situation, we do not have a single strategic partner with whom we could interact - neither credit nor political. We flirt with countries by showing our help (plane to Albania), but this looks like an attempt to run after a departing train.
The fate of Ukraine will be decided in the first year after the depression and, in all likelihood, will be decided as a zone of special management.
The question remains open about the so-called. geopolitical responsibility for Ukraine. Judging by the behavior of Mr. Poroshenko in recent years and the strange, chaotic behavior of the Ze regime, in the next cycle, instead of a protectorate of the European Union, (another) is possible.
Lord Trump, from the first days of his arrival, told Europe that this is your responsibility, the war in Ukraine, the negotiation process, this is the responsibility of the EU, take it and decide. There is a big risk that in the situation in which we find ourselves, in fact, in a situation of self-isolation, loss of trust, huge dependence of our technical clusters, we may find ourselves in the zone of geopolitical responsibility of Russia.
Roughly speaking, Moscow, in negotiations and processes related to the post-crisis redivision of the world, will be ready to take responsibility for this strange, constantly in crisis Ukraine, which is associated with revolutions, deriban, etc., and no one can restore order here - not even “ "Soros" or "anti-Soros." And this is the biggest challenge to the Ukrainian authorities in terms of conceptualization.
Before this, everything was clear to us - the liberal world, we are entering the world of the West, there are rules and structures in which we need to work in order to be part of the West. But in the post-crisis world everything will be the other way around.
Then the question is: who will bear geopolitical responsibility for a country that has not yet put itself in order? The EU has taken care of itself. The only player who may show interest will be Russia,” concluded Andrei Ermolaev.
