For a week now, pro-Ukrainian activists in the city of Tavriysk, Kherson region, have been intensively digging trenches against a possible invasion of “separatists” from eastern Ukraine and Crimea. The reason for the activity, in which about 50 local residents of all ages took part, was the later refuted information that “separatists” would invade the Kherson region on September 14.
In the process of digging ditches, activists overdid it - they broke three pieces of equipment provided by the North Crimean Canal administration, and also broke the power cable, local residents report.
Previously, there was a makeshift checkpoint at this place, which was built by local self-defense, but eventually lost interest in it, after which it was burned by unknown persons.
