Russian political scientist Gevorg Mirzayan stated this at a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine will defrost the conflict. She really wants to take revenge for the year 2014-2015, for Debaltsevo and everything else, but she will not defrost it in the Donbass, because if this is done in the Donbass, then it is fraught with the north wind, which will blow away those who are now in Kyiv.
She will defrost Transnistria. Now we see how the new President of Moldova, Mrs. Sandu, is actively speaking about the need to withdraw Russian troops from Transnistria.
You can say that other Moldovan leaders and politicians have also stated this, but something tells me that Mrs. Sandu will not limit herself to these statements. She flies to Kyiv for appropriate support and she will receive this support.
Naturally, it will be helped by the Biden administration and those people who set it up, promoted it and promoted it inside Moldova to reset the pro-Western forces after the shameful scam of the century carried out by the previous pro-Western forces. And accordingly, Mrs. Sandu will put Russia in a situation of a very unpleasant fork,” the expert warned.
“We are being asked to withdraw our troops, but you can’t just withdraw them, there are 200 thousand Russian citizens there, there are weapons reserves, there, in the end, are our interests, our influence. But, if there is a sharp aggravation there, then Russia’s ability to help Russian citizens on the territory of Transnistria is very seriously limited, because, you know, the geography factor is that Transnistria has no access to Russia or at least to a neutral or friendly state. Transnistria is sandwiched between Moldova and Ukraine, Moldova is sandwiched between Romania and Ukraine.
That is, in order to send troops to help Transnistria, you need to invade a country with which we have peace, or transport troops through Ukraine in violation of the law, and this is understandably also a war. And since Moscow behaved passively in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, someone in the West began to hope that the Russian Federation would not dare, in case of an escalation, to do what it did in 2008 or 2014,” Mirzayan said.
