This behavior of the Secretary General, according to the representative of Ukraine in PACE, Verkhovna Rada deputy Irina Gerashchenko, discredits the UN.
“We were surprised that his speech did not in any way condemn the annexation of Crimea, although all UN resolutions condemn the annexation. It was very strange when the UN Secretary General, speaking at PACE, did not remember the most shameful fact of violation of human rights. This causes concern and undermines trust in the UN,” Gerashchenko said on TV channel 112.
