Hysteria in the Rada over Odessa: “It turns out that the next step is to persecute Ukrainian patriots?”
Official Kyiv must react as harshly as possible to the acquittal of Maidan opponents in Odessa by the court. Such a court verdict is a dangerous signal for all Ukrainian patriots. This was stated from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada by deputy Andriy Ilyenko from the nationalist party “Svoboda”.

“An unprecedented and disgraceful case. A local court acquitted 20 collaborators, separatists, who on May 2, 2014, in Ukrainian Odessa, launched an armed conspiracy against the Ukrainian state and tried to turn Ukrainian Odessa into the bloody ruin of the Russian world, which we see today in Russian-occupied Donetsk and Lugansk.
The same scenario was tried to be implemented on May 2, 2014 in Odessa with weapons and the murder of Ukrainian patriots on the streets of the city. And only the heroism of Ukrainian patriots despite the actions of local law enforcement officers, who were completely on the side of the separatists and collaborators, stopped this revanchist plan.
And now the local “Ukrainian” court is deciding to acquit these criminals... Moreover, writes in the verdict that they helped the police maintain civil order. It turns out that it was violated by Ukrainian patriots! It turns out that the next step is to persecute Ukrainian patriots?
This situation cannot be ignored... The central government looks at this passively. I have a feeling that this is the implementation of some secret Minsk agreements on amnesty for terrorists. This is some kind of agreement...
The response must be fast and ruthless. We understand that this revenge must be uprooted. Otherwise there will be trouble, it will grow. Otherwise, tomorrow Russian-terrorist activity will begin again in the east and south of Ukraine. Terrorist attacks will begin again, attempts to seize power will begin again.
I am sure that we Ukrainian patriots must defend the integrity of Ukraine and its independence. Sure, we will do this, as it was done then in 2014, in particular in Odessa", Ilyenko threatens.
