Hysteria in the Verkhovna Rada: Europeans are betraying Ukraine!
European partners are flirting with Russia, taking advantage of Ukraine’s temporary weakness, and putting pressure on Kyiv. This is exactly how the resolution adopted in PACE condemning the new Ukrainian law on education should be interpreted. Deputy Viktor Vovk from Oleg Lyashko’s party stated this from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the PACE session, which took place last week, was the worst for Ukraine in recent years, and the deputy accused the organization itself of corruption.

“This is a manifestation of the gradual political degradation of the Council of Europe. This respected organization is increasingly moving away from its core values and principles and is plunging into corruption and the intrigues of cynical politicians and entire states.
In PACE there is also a growing number of those who are ready to succumb to financial blackmail from Russia and sell it indulgences. Forgiving Russian sins for Russian money will be the beginning of the end of the Council of Europe as an organization based on values.
Also, all the accusations against Ukraine in the language resolution are based on manipulations and untruths. It has nothing to do with legal analysis and the rule of law.
At the same time, such political attacks on Ukraine in Europe became possible, first of all, due to the extreme weakness of the state’s foreign policy. President Poroshenko, with his position as Leopold the cat and his readiness to make fundamental concessions in the international arena, cannot help but provoke our enemies to try to impose their own interests on Ukraine.
