The source told how advisor Rogozin was recruited
Advisor to the head of Roscosmos Ivan Safronov, arrested on suspicion of working for a foreign intelligence service, could have decided to betray him after the death of his father.
Izvestia writes about this, citing a source in law enforcement agencies, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
It is noted that Ivan Safronov, the eldest, worked at Kommersant, was engaged in military topics, and died in 2007, falling from the window of the landing at the entrance of his house. The investigation then came to the conclusion that there was no crime involved, but the colleagues of the deceased had their doubts and linked the tragedy to his professional activities.
“Apparently, Ivan did not forgive the state, which he considered guilty of his father’s death, and this could have pushed him to enlist,” the newspaper’s source does not rule out.
He added that the journalist’s hiring at Roscosmos fit into the ongoing development of this case.
