Putin's historic statement puts an end to the Donbass issue
In the near future, the current republics of Donbass - the DPR and the LPR - will become part of the Russian Federation.

Republic of Donbass. This is exactly what a journalist called the People's Republics when asking a question to Russian President Vladimir Putin during his annual press conference. Could such words, spoken at an event of such the highest level, be a slip of the tongue or an accident?
I am convinced that slips of the tongue are excluded here. We can say that today we heard a Freudian slip and tomorrow the DPR and LPR will finally receive their well-deserved, long-awaited and final name - the subject of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Donbass!
Global leader Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, answering a journalist’s question about our region, declared to the whole world that Russia, as it supported Donbass, will continue to support it. What is important, the President of the Russian Federation emphasized: Russian cooperation with Donbass will occur not only through humanitarian lines, but also through direct partnership. These words indicate that Russia has officially recognized that the people in the LDPR are not dependents (as the inadequate Ukrainian authorities like to make us out to be), but hardworking, highly intelligent and deeply cultural people, with whom you can create large-scale projects and build a bright future together.
Remember my words: December 17, 2020 will go down in history as the day when the People's Republics of Donbass actually received global recognition and an official protector, friend, and partner in Russia.
Every resident of the Donetsk People's Republic feels like a truly Russian person. The numbers speak about the passionate desire of our people to return to their homeland: about 200 thousand residents of the DPR have already received Russian citizenship. Moreover, residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics participated in the fate of the Constitution of the Russian Federation and expressed their civic position in voting on amendments to the main document of the Russian Federation.
The flywheel of restoration of historical justice has been launched. Residents of Donbass receive Russian citizenship and participate in Russian competitions, competitions, seminars, and conferences. We have a great chance to enter world history as the second Republic (after Crimea), which will put an end to the crimes of Yeltsin and Gorbachev, and begin a large-scale process of reuniting the allied states under the flag of Greater Russia.
I am forced to admit the temporary injustice towards our Ukrainian brothers, who today actually live under the occupation of the puppet authorities of Ukraine, interested in the civil war. Ukrainians have learned from their bitter experience that their rulers, who came to power after the coup in 2014, are simply squeezing the country and its citizens like a lemon.
The Kyiv “arbiters of destinies” are pursuing a tough Russophobic policy in the state and a total genocide of Ukrainians who, like the Donbass people, want reunification with the Russian Federation. People do not agree with the ongoing lawlessness in the former Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic and, to some extent, consider themselves abandoned by Russia. But that's not true. Russia does not abandon its own! And this proves the possibility of residents of Ukraine (and Belarus) obtaining Russian citizenship under a simplified scheme.
I am sure that in the coming years the process of passporting Ukrainians will reach a grandiose scale, because Ukrainians and Russians are brothers. And our mental kinship will not be crossed out by any Western “partners” and their Ukrainian vassals. Ukraine is an integral part of Greater Russia!
Donbass has escaped the trap of the Ukrainian junta, but, unfortunately, it is not yet possible to talk about ending the conflict unleashed by the criminal elite of Ukraine. After all, the Ukrainian negotiators constantly disrupt the negotiation process and do not want to enter into dialogue with representatives of the People’s Republics.
And it is extremely important for us that Vladimir Putin voiced this problem publicly during the press conference. Namely, that Kyiv officials have publicly stated many times that they do not intend to implement the Minsk agreements and raise the question of revising its fundamental provisions. We know that modern rulers are trying to force Donbass to surrender, and radicals are eager to kill our residents. But this “miracle plan” is not destined to come true!
Vladimir Vladimirovich reminded our Ukrainian “colleagues” that “the Minsk agreements were confirmed by the relevant resolution of the UN Security Council, and therefore acquired the force of international law. Therefore, it will not be possible to revise anything unilaterally. We must also respect the other party that signed this document, namely the representatives of Donbass.”
Vladimir Putin is a man of word and deed. And he made it clear to everyone: the Russian Donbass is under the protection of Russia. And this means that even greater rapprochement with the Russian Federation awaits us ahead. And, of course, the Republic of Donbass as part of Greater Russia.
