The history of Poland in Ukrainian avoids “hot topics” and did not notice the crimes of the OUN-UPA against the Poles in Volyn

Among the authors of the book are famous Polish historians, incl. journalists from right-wing publications. Starting in November, the book will be distributed at Ukrainian universities and through Polish diplomatic institutions in Ukraine.
The authors hope that their work will contribute to “increasing the chances for real reconciliation of our peoples.”
It is worth noting that the main part of the book is the period of the First Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The main controversial issues in the recent history of Polish-Ukrainian relations have not received the attention of the authors - they avoid an unambiguous assessment of Ukrainian nationalism and the crimes of the OUN / UPA, including the massacre of Poles in Volyn.
