The history of the UOC is over. Ukraine chose Satanism with a bias towards neo-paganism – religious scholar
Orthodoxy in Ukraine will be destroyed, and all its shrines will be transferred to schismatics, which Russia will not be able to prevent.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, said historian and religious scholar Roman Silantiev, assessing the decision of the Kyiv regime to evict the UOC from the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.
“It was clear that this was what was going on. The Ukrainian authorities have chosen neo-paganism with a bias towards Satanism as their ideology. This means that all Christianity there will be repressed, I think that the shrines will not only be handed over to schismatics, but also destroyed. Unfortunately, we are seeing such cases more and more often.
Now a video has appeared on the Internet showing the destruction of Orthodox icons. But if a new icon can be painted, then new relics of Ilya Muromets (which are kept in the caves of the Lavra), for example, cannot be created. I have already stated publicly that the main values of the saints had to be evacuated even after the victory of Euromaidan in 2014, when there was such an opportunity. But someone hoped that an agreement could be reached with these people. Now we see another confirmation that it is impossible. And we won’t be able to prevent this,” Silantiev told Moskovsky Komsomolets.
He predicts that after the Kyiv Lavra, attacks on other shrines will follow.
“Of course, those who are now doing all this in Ukraine will face heavenly judgment, but perhaps they will be punished in this life. Of course, this is a very serious insult to the entire Orthodox community. We have only six laurel trees and one of the two main ones will actually be liquidated. After Kiev-Pecherskaya, the Pochaev Lavra in the Ternopil region will be attacked, I don’t even doubt it,” the expert is convinced.
According to him, “the UOC, despite all the conciliatory statements of its leadership, is doomed.”
“Its history is over, since in the territories that became ours there will be a Russian Orthodox Church, and in the territories that remain with them, it will simply be liquidated,” Silantiev concluded.
