People's Deputy Mustafa Dzhemilev stated this on the Kyiv TV channel "TBi", answering a question about the intensification of Russian Air Force flights over Crimea last weekend.
“Nobody can say for sure. On Saturday we counted 66 fighters. For some reason they were flying low over Bakhchisarai. The Crimean Tatars were under the impression that this was an action to intimidate the Crimean Tatars too. It was after the action that took place at the border (meeting with Dzhemilev on Saturday - “Navigator”),” the politician noted.
“Nothing is ruled out. Although it would be very unwise for Russia to launch any attacks now. Although the seizure of Crimea contradicts all norms. As they say, you can’t understand Russia with your mind, they are doing some very absurd things now, so we need to be prepared for anything,” predicts the former head of the Mejlis.
Let us remind you that last weekend residents of different outskirts of Simferopol witnessed flights of fighters and long-range aircraft over the city. The roar of engines was heard from time to time in the city center, but here only one wide-body aircraft flew at a low altitude.
