The leader of the rapidly growing Northern League, member of the European Parliament Matteo Salvini, stated this in an interview with Izvestia.
“The British have shown that they do not accept the EU format. Their choice was pragmatic and in the interests of the British state. The British simply ran away from the bureaucratic monster in Brussels. If, or rather when, the Northern League comes to power in Italy, we will immediately hold an Ital-exit referendum. And I am confident that the majority of Italians will support the country’s exit from the EU.”
