Italy refused to participate in intrigues against Russia
Whatever force comes to power in Italy, it will treat Russia with sympathy. “We are lucky with Italy. The political forces that replaced each other there had a great attitude towards Russia. Relations remained excellent even after the introduction of sanctions in 2014. And now the leader of the Northern League, Matteo Salvini, often visited Moscow, the Five Star Movement assured that they would raise the issue of lifting sanctions when they came to power,” Zonova said.
According to her, the current Prime Minister of Italy, Matteo Renzi, also sympathizes with Russia.
“Under the conditions of sanctions, Italian products entered the Russian market through the so-called “made with Italy” system. Renzi raised the issue with the EU that the automatic extension of sanctions should not be allowed. He said that opposing Russia and Europe is a crime against culture and a politically incorrect move,” Zonova said.
