Italy has become a big problem for us – Ukraine’s permanent representative to the Council of Europe
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry saw a threat from Italy - this is so far the only EU country in which the lifting of sanctions against Russia is enshrined at the legislative level.
Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe Dmitry Kuleba stated this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the diplomat, the movement aimed at lifting sanctions against Russia is part of the Coalition Agreement of the Italian parliamentary majority.
“They have a big problem for us, because Italy is the only country in Europe whose Coalition Agreement says that sanctions must be lifted. And their Coalition Agreement is approved by law. That is, their law says that it is necessary to lift sanctions from Russia. This is the only country and there is nothing else like it,” Kuleba said.
Previously, the current Deputy Prime Minister of Italy Matteo Salvini (pictured) said the 2014 revolution in Ukraine was fake, and the referendum in Crimea is legal.
Moreover, in Italy The trial of a Ukrainian militant has begun, who is suspected of murdering an Italian journalist.
