“According to the latest data received from precinct election commissions, 343907 voters took part in the voting. No violations were recorded. There were no reports of violations of public order,” he said.
“I'm glad I was able to come here as an observer. Of course, my duty is to observe, which is what I do. In addition, today I also filmed and took photographs. Imagine, no one even came up to me and asked for permission. This suggests that everything is absolutely open and free. At the moment, no violations have been noticed,” said Eliseo Bertolasi, an Italian political scientist who arrived in Donbass as an international observer for the primaries.
“Today is not just an election, today we see a national holiday. Dancing children, free food, festive atmosphere, people voting with pleasure. We even saw queues of people voting.
You know how biased the processes taking place in your country are covered in the Western media. Therefore, I try to carefully monitor what is happening in order to later talk about what I saw with my own eyes. And not only tell, but also show – your photos and video materials in which people come to vote and make their choice. For me it is a duty to return home and tell what I see here,” Bertolasi said.
