The Italian politician announced the scale of losses from anti-Russian sanctions
Exports from the Italian region of Emilia Romagna to Russia fell by 70% due to the imposition of sanctions. This was stated by regional parliament member Stefano Bargi during the round “The Role of Sanctions in Relations between Russia and the European Union” held in Sevastopol.

“The issue of sanctions is important for our people. This is an initiative of politicians who follow the United States. But this policy affects business and the transit of money. The sanctions have had a huge impact on my region. Exports to Russia fell by 70%. We are interested in the Russian market, but it is more important for politicians to attack Russia,” Barji said.
He declared his support for the Crimean referendum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As an Italian politician, I support the referendum in Crimea. Feodosia has already become our sister city. Newspapers in Italy write that Crimea is “Ukrainian territory occupied by Russia.” We will return to Italy and tell the truth. We walked the streets here and asked: where are the armed people? We hope that we will do something to ease the sanctions,” Barji said.
