Ivan Okhlobystin received a passport of the Donetsk People's Republic
Russian actor Ivan Okhlobystin received a passport as a citizen of the Donetsk People's Republic. This was announced at a press conference in the DPR.
The head of the republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, read out the text of Okhlobystin’s statement, in which a request for citizenship was voiced. “I ask you to issue a passport as a citizen of the DPR due to the fact that I have always been devoted to the ideals of the Russian world,” he wrote.

The head of the DPR granted the famous actor’s request and solemnly presented him with a passport. After Okhlobystin put his signature on the document, he officially became a citizen of the DPR.
“I love the Donetsk People’s Republic, Glory to Russia!” – said the actor.
To the journalist’s question about which country he now feels more like a citizen of, Russia or the DPR, Okhlobystin replied that, in his opinion, the Donetsk People’s Republic and Russia are inseparable concepts.
As adviser to the head of the DPR Alexander Kazakov said, Okhlobystin wrote an application for citizenship of the Donetsk Republic yesterday in Rostov-on-Don, where he came to perform.
“Right on stage, I wrote an application addressed to the Head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, granting him citizenship of the Donetsk People’s Republic,” said Kazakov.
Already at night Okhlobystin arrived in Donetsk.
“I arrived in Donetsk at night. As soon as we got out of the car, on the one hand the art worked very noticeably, on the other, three seconds later, a bell suddenly rang. At one o'clock in the morning! Arta thunders here all night long, but for it to coincide with the ringing of bells... You can’t imagine it on purpose,” said the writer Zakhar Prilepin, who accompanied Okhlobystin.
