Ivano-Frankivsk judges decided not to imprison the city’s chief police officer for a fight with an “ATO” participant
The Ivano-Frankivsk City Court released on personal recognizance and retained the head of the local patrol service, Dmitry Mikhalts, who in September got into a fight with a participant in the so-called. “ATO” by Ivan Tchaikovsky.

“The judge of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Court decided to apply a preventive measure in the form of a personal commitment to the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk patrol police. Thus, Michalets must appear before the prosecutor’s investigator upon request,” the message says.
The court also rejected the request of the prosecutor's office, which demanded that Mihalec be removed from office.
After the trial, Mikhalets thanked the justice authorities on camera for a fair investigation and promised not to get involved in such stories in the future.
