Ivo Bobul was going to the States to talk with Trump about his future presidency in Ukraine
Ukrainian singer and composer Ivo Bobul said that he will run for president of Ukraine in the upcoming presidential elections, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He stated this on air on TV channel 112 Ukraine.
According to him, he is starting to collect money for the election campaign.
“I need to talk to Trump, go to the States and ask him for help. I think he will help, since we have the same views!” – said the singer.
Bobul also said that oligarchs are approaching him with offers to help.
“They come, but they ask for something in return,” Bobul complained.
The singer does not want to work with the oligarchs on their terms and states that, if elected president, he will force the oligarchs to “return money to the country.”
“There is one very good way! First, gather everyone and say, I am declaring an amnesty, you must return the money to the country, otherwise we will find a way to make you beggars!” - he said.
According to him, in Ukraine “we need to boost the economy, give people the opportunity to work.”
“There must be laws that work for the people! Democracy is not permissiveness, it is some benefits, but not permissiveness,” Bobul is sure.
