A participant in a program was switched off the air of Ukrainian TV for a portrait of Lenin
A representative of the public organization “Anti-Fascist Committee of Ukraine” Mikhail Kononovich, who had a portrait of Vladimir Lenin hanging on his wall, contacted the studio of the Magnolia-TV channel via a video call.
For this “crime,” the anti-fascist was scolded and taken off the air, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The first to react to Lenin’s portrait was Nazi Igor Miroshnichenko, a member of the Freedom Association. He began to threaten Mikhail Kononovich with prison.
“The gentleman who is sitting here and picked up the portrait of “Member” - he would probably kiss him in a prison cell, this is at best. Because this is a provocation and a violation of the law of Ukraine,” said the radical.
In turn, TV presenter Alexander Vasiliev demanded that Lenin’s portrait be removed from the air.
“I'll interrupt, sorry, I just didn't see it. Pan Mikhail, either you change the location, or we will take you off the air. Because there can’t be portraits of Lenin on our air,” the presenter said.
However, Mikhail Kononovich refused to follow the demands of the nationalists, and he was taken off the air.
