People's Deputy Nadezhda Savchenko, after a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense, stated that the decision to exclude her from the personnel of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense was illegal.

“Today’s decision of the Committee on National Security and Defense of Ukraine is not legal,” Savchenko said.
She explained that the issue of excluding her from the staff of the Committee on National Security and Defense was considered today by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Regulations.
“The Regulations Committee provided its answer that neither the Law of Ukraine “On Committees of the Verkhovna Rada” nor “On the Status of People’s Deputy” contains rules on the dismissal of an ordinary committee member, but there are rules regarding the head of the committee, secretary and deputy,” Savchenko clarified .
Let us remind you that at today’s meeting, the Committee on National Security and Defense recommended that the Rada exclude Savchenko from its composition. Committee members accused Savchenko of treason.
