Thus, due to possible political instability in the United States, investors risk losing only $1. In Venezuela, which is more dependent on oil exports than Saudi Arabia or Russia, investors risk losing $20. In Ukraine, out of $100 invested in the country, every third dollar will be lost.
Only North Korea has the worst investment climate. The publication writes: “Curtis Ingram, a broker who sells political risk insurance at Aon, said defining political risk is much more difficult than financial risk. “It’s not life insurance or auto insurance or even storm insurance,” Ingram said. “It’s more unpredictable.”
Apparently, such an investment climate established in 2014 will not have a favorable impact on attracting foreign investment.
