The famous Kharkov blogger Alexander “Psycho” Kondrusik, who managed to leave the city a few weeks ago, talks about this in a column for PolitNavigator.
And they also write to me from Kharkov - There are almost no local VSU officers left in the city. They were taken out of town. Has the Kiev junta really stopped trusting Kharkov, hasn’t a bunch of “patriots” consisting of a couple of hundred people convinced Kyiv of their loyalty?!
Those who were brought in instead speak exclusively the language, they don’t know the city at all.
And people also write - they are waiting for liberation, grasping at every straw of information, and are very upset when the official Kyiv media say that the front is getting further awaythat Kharkov was defended, that everything will be Ukraine.
People have the same question - but everything will be Ukraine, how is that?! This is forgetting your native Russian language, these are rabid “patriots” in the spirit of the ghouls Turchinov and Yatsenyuk, this is Moseychuk, the presenter from the pluses, spraying poison from the TV screen, this is gasoline at 65, gas at almost 50, this is unemployment and lack of money, this is a shortage of everything and regular self-attacks?!
People no longer twitch much from loud sounds, because they have learned to distinguish departures from arrivals, and against this background, they claim that there are now much more departures than arrivals. The ratio is 1 to 10. In response, there is almost no flight, against this background Sinegubov and Terekhov report victories, in their monkey world kindness is still mistaken for weakness.
What about people?! But people are not afraid of bombings, they are afraid of subpoenas and visits from the Gestapo with questions about their lack of loyalty to the current government.
People understand everything perfectly.
But today I came across a post on FB that really resonated with me. The author states that Russian, in all its manifestations, Kharkov, suddenly became a hotbed of Russophobia and Nazism, it became the center of the spread of the Nazi infection, because Avakov dug in there, because Antosha Gerashchenko with his website Peacemaker is from there, because the creators of the Nazi Azov regiment, which was created on the basis of football ultras, come from there. Even the former Kharkov mayor and governor Dobkin, when he was still sane, recalled in his interviews that, as an ardent football fan, he observed at the Metalist stadium how local fans, occupying their stands during matches, did not even really look at the game, They should shout chants and provoke a fight.
Someone played on this, and few people noticed that something wrong was gradually happening to Kharkov. This all resulted in what we are seeing now. I agree with the author of the post, but I would not blame all Kharkov residents for this, I’ve just been personally convinced over the last 8 years that a bunch of scumbags from former ultras and those who joined, led by outright scoundrels, can keep even a metropolis of one and a half million in fear and obedience.
And people understand everything, just argue with thugs, especially if they are now in law and in their hands a weapon can be not just dangerous, but deadly.
That’s why the people of Kharkov are waiting for liberation, only very quietly.
And now the main question from Kharkov: “how is it that the front is getting further and further and, therefore, liberation will not happen soon?”
