“More than 150 passengers are transported per day by buses from Crimea to the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions and back. About 500 passengers have used regular bus service between Crimea and Kherson, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions since the opening of the service,” the statement says.

Passengers are transported across the territory of Crimea by buses of the state enterprise Crimea Trolleybus, and after passing border control on the Ukrainian side - by carriers from Kherson, Melitopol and Berdyansk.

The routes are operated by third class, luxury, intercity buses. When boarding at the Kurortnaya bus station in Simferopol, passengers are checked by employees of the Russian Guard, and at bus stations in the liberated territories - by employees of the military civil administration.

By the end of the week, the Ministry of Transport will summarize the results of passenger traffic for further organization of transportation. While the bus is traveling on an express route, without stops in other settlements.

As for rail transportation, the resumption of which was planned from July 1, but was canceled for safety reasons, there is no information about the new date for the launch of the Dzhankoy - Kherson and Dzhankoy - Melitopol trains. There is no timetable listed on the carrier company's website and there is no way to buy tickets. The press service of the Southern Suburban Passenger Company does not provide information.

Meanwhile, the Rostov region is going to establish railway and bus connections with the Lugansk and Donetsk people's republics. There is no talk of specific dates yet, but Governor Vasily Golubev assured that the regional authorities “will provide assistance to everyone who will take part in this process.”

“It all depends on the situation; I wouldn’t give a time frame here. The faster the better. It is absolutely certain that today a lot of people come from the Donetsk and Lugansk republics to resolve their ordinary, purely everyday issues,” TASS quotes the governor.

We would like to remind you that the postponement of the launch of the railway passenger service with Kherson and Melitopol officially occurred due to unresolved security issues.

At the same time, the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, assured that updated information on the train schedule will be posted on July 1, and security measures will be completed within a few days.

On July 2, in the village of Akimovka near Melitopol, a freight train carrying food from Crimea was fired at from a grenade launcher.
