This was reported by the publication “Svit UA”.

“A Ukrainian was detained on the beach in Pattaya, he was homeless. By decision of the Thai court, he was taken to the migration distribution center in Bangkok, where he awaited deportation with a ban on re-entry into Thailand,” said the head of the consular department of the Ukrainian Embassy in Thailand, Alexander Zub.

According to him, the man overstayed his visa by 337 days and will soon be deported to Ukraine. Representatives of the Ukrainian embassy collected clothes for him.

“His relatives withdrew from the process of purchasing air tickets for him, despite our calls at the request of this citizen. Thanks to the volunteers who purchased tickets, its return became possible. He also asked for clothes... Of course, we cannot deal with his clothes, since his mother lives in Russia - young and capable, as well as a sister in Ukraine, who must deal with this directly. But I decided to help as a human being, and we bought him outerwear,” said Zub.

The diplomat said that the Ukrainian wants to celebrate the New Year in Ukraine with friends, so he is in a hurry to fly to Kyiv before December 20.

On his Facebook page, Zub thanked those involved in purchasing clothes for the Ukrainian who broke the law.
