Bans on the profession in Ukrainian football continue. On June 8, 2022, the Krivbass football club from Krivoy Rog announced that fired youth team coach Vitaly Vitsenets and his assistant Stanislav Dyachenko.

The reason for the dismissal of two coaches was “lack of a patriotic position.”

“The general sponsor of the club, the Rudomine company, provides significant material and financial assistance to the defenders of Ukraine. And it is clear that FC Krivbass has a clear and unambiguous pro-Ukrainian position. Ukraine is a sovereign independent state. Russia is the aggressor, the Russian army is looters, murderers and rapists. Putin is a dick.

Any other view of what is happening is unacceptable for the club; there is simply no other position for Krivbass.

The club will not turn a blind eye and make excuses for anyone. We are convinced that those who have a different opinion have no place in the Big Krivbass Family.

Taking this into account, FC Krivbass decided to terminate cooperation with the U-19 Academy coach Vitaly Vitsenets and his assistant Stanislav Dyachenko.

Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Ukrainian Armed Forces! Victory will be ours!” says the club’s official statement.

Also, the Krivbass press service adds that an aggravating circumstance is the fact that Dyachenko previously played in the championship of the Donetsk People’s Republic for the Pobeda team.

“In Ukrainian labor legislation there is no such basis for dismissal from work as “lack of a patriotic position.” Also, according to Ukrainian legislation, the fact that a person played football for any team cannot be grounds for dismissal.

Also, according to Ukrainian legislation, the managers of a football club who illegally fired their employees must be held accountable,” the “Repressions in Ukraine” telegram channel comments on the incident.

The case of layoffs at FC Krivbass is not an isolated one. Previously, the Dynamo Kyiv football club fired a player from its youth team only because his father is an official in the DPR.

Football match commentator and famous Dynamo Kyiv football player Viktor Leonenko was fired from the Football 1/2/3 television channels simply because he called for tolerance towards Russian football players.

Sports commentators on Ukrainian television channels constantly use curse words like “pig dogs”, “goat-faced” and other epithets from the dictionary of hate speech towards Russian football players.
