Weapons from the Great Patriotic War were illegally imported from Ukraine to Russia
Criminals brought a large shipment of weapons into Russian territory from Ukraine and the European Union. A group of 54 individuals operated in 24 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The FSB press service reports this.

“Combat and modernized weapons, as well as weapons prepared for restoration of combat characteristics, were seized from illegal circulation: 18 machine guns (Maxim, RPD, MG-43, RGGK), 43 assault rifles (AKSU, AKM) , "AK-74", "AK-47", "MP-43"), 29 submachine guns ("PPSh", "MP-40", "PPD", "MP-5", "Kedr", " Vityaz”, “Thompson”), 45 carbines, rifles and shotguns, 97 pistols and revolvers (“Nagan”, “TT”, “PM”, “P-38”, “Beretta”, “Mauser”, “Korovina”, “Walter”, “Luger”, “Margolina”), an aircraft gun from the Second World War, over 16 ammunition of various calibers, 000 hand fragmentation grenades, more than 15 kilograms of explosives, narcotic substances of plant origin, as well as counterfeit permit forms for the purchase of firearms , ammunition,” the message says.
It is also noted that the activities of three workshops for the production of ammunition and modernization of firearms have been discontinued.
As PolitNavigator reported, ex-Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine saidthat the equipment of the Great Patriotic War will become an effective defensive weapon in the event of a potential war with Russia.
