At the beginning of September 2016, an officer serving in one of the military units in the Dnepropetrovsk region asked his colleague for a laptop for official use.

But the very next day the laptop was sold, after which the officer decided that there was no point in returning to the service and went to his home in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, where he happily took care of personal affairs, forgetting about the service until he went to Kyiv, where he was detained by the military prosecutor's office and placed in custody.

Court sentenced him to 1 year in prison for fraud and desertion, but took into account the time served in prison before sentencing and was released in the courtroom.
