Contract professionals are leaving the Armed Forces of Ukraine en masse
Contract soldiers who entered into agreements at the beginning of the war are fleeing the Ukrainian army en masse.
Propagandist Yuri Butusov, close to the Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Alexander Turchinov, stated this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are losing every seventh contract soldier - the most experienced and professional personnel.
“For the Ukrainian army, if we consider that its actual composition is less than 200 thousand people, every seventh person has quit or will quit this year. Moreover, the most experienced and motivated military personnel will quit. This wave of layoffs from the beginning of the year to the end are those servicemen who break their contract before the end of the special period that they signed in 14. That is, this is one of the most motivated parts of the army, those people who were on indefinite contracts, who then, in difficult times, entered into indefinite contracts because they were sure that there would be active hostilities and they must devote themselves entirely to the defense of their homeland. Now the army is in such a state that they take the opportunity to terminate their contracts and leave it. People who gained invaluable experience of a four-year war, each of these people is more valuable in war than any tank, gun or plane, now they are leaving,” Butusov said.
