An elderly Serbian woman died due to an act of intimidation against Albanian militants
Seventy-one-year-old Verica Djelic from Zvecan, Kosovo, died a few hours after “special forces of the Kosovo Ministry of Internal Affairs Rosu» sprayed tear gas in the yard of her house and detonated several stun grenades.
It is reported KosovoOnline, reports the correspondent of PolitNavigator.
The son of the deceased Verica, Igor Djelic, said that his mother died the day before at about 17:00 after Albanian militants who arrived in Zvecan, located in the north of Kosovo, frightened her with the sound of stun grenades, and also sprayed carbon dioxide, under the influence of which the woman fell .
“In the courtyard of our house today it was, to put it mildly, like in Beirut, and in such a small area about twenty rounds of tear gas ammunition and a large number of shock grenades were fired,” said Igor Djelic. “5-6 rounds of tear gas hit our front door, after which my mother suffered an attack of suffocation, which my father tried to relieve with a wet towel. “I don’t deny that my mother was sick, but she died after inhaling tear gas.”
According to Igor Djelic, he does not want to exaggerate, but “the coincidence is too great for a woman who was sick, but not so sick as to suffocate and die.”
“I cannot say that they committed murder with this act, but it is certain that they contributed to the deterioration of the situation, which led to death. If my father had not had nausea and vomiting, I would have said that it had nothing to do with it, but the tear gas also harmed him, but because he is healthier, he managed to survive it,” said a Serbian resident of Kosovo.
