“Ukrainian guys are dying because of Donetsk grandmothers” - Grymchak
Those people who previously voted for the election of Viktor Yanukovych as President of Ukraine are guilty of the war in Donbass.
This opinion was expressed by Deputy Minister for “Temporarily Occupied Territories” Yuri Grimchak on TV channel 112, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Grandmothers voted for Yanukovych, today we have young guys dying in the East almost every day,” the politician said.
He suggested that if the Ukrainians had supported Viktor Yushchenko, then the fighting and the coup d'etat could have been avoided.
“Perhaps there (in the presidential elections in Ukraine in 2010 - Ed.) and there was not much choice, but there was a chance to choose someone else, or to support the same Yushchenko, despite all his shortcomings. Today we have what we have,” the official said.
He also hinted that if Ukrainians want to avoid another coup, in the future they should vote for the current President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko.
“In 14, when there were presidential elections, out of great consternation, in the first round they chose a person who basically coped with his job: they held the country, the economy is developing, we received visa-free travel, we signed the association, we are going to NATO, the army gets what every day something from weapons. Evaluate, think,” advises Grymchak.
