Due to the conflict with Hungary, Klimkin’s staff will be expanded

A position will be created in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine whose competence will include cross-border cooperation against the backdrop of the conflict with Hungary. And in Hungary, the name of the position of the government “commissioner for Transcarpathia” will be changed, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

This was stated today by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin after a meeting with his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjártó in Warsaw, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

“The decision will be next week. It will be published in the relevant Hungarian sources. We agreed that after changing the name and this promulgation, we will also create a position in our ministry that is not entirely appropriate, but will deal with cross-border cooperation very seriously. I started talking to other ministries. Therefore there will be a meeting between them. And we will discuss issues of interaction, where we can work together, and there are such moments,” the minister promised.

Klimkin also noted that he and Szijjarto “spoke in detail about how Hungary should do more for the Ukrainian community in Hungary.”

Today in the Polish capital, within the framework of the Warsaw Security Forum, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Szijjártó.
