This is the fourth theft recorded in the east of the peninsula at DTEK Krymenergo substations in October-November, the company’s press service reports.
According to her, on Sunday morning the Krymenergo dispatcher received calls from residents of the village. Bagerovo, village Oktyabrskoye, s. Ivanovka with information about the lack of electricity supply in houses. The operational team identified the problem at the Bagerovo-Selskaya substation.
“It was discovered that unknown persons had entered the territory of the 35/10 kV substation and stolen 40 on and off coils - the stolen parts are necessary for the functioning of the substation and are part of the relay protection. The robbers, while removing the coils, also damaged other equipment of the 35/10 kV substation. Due to the theft, 3 settlements were left completely without power supply, 1 of them partially,” the report says.
Power engineers promptly switched the Bagerovo hospital and boiler house to backup power supply. As of 8.00:31 Monday, XNUMX transformer substations remained de-energized.
According to technical director of Krymenergo Dmitry Kravchuk, emergency crews are currently trying to restore equipment and resume power supply to consumers.
“Currently, all reserve capabilities of the 35/10 kV Bagerovo-Selskaya substation have been exhausted, and in the event of an accident or repeated robbery, it will not be possible to quickly restore the operation of this equipment,” the company warns.
