Because of Crimea, the head of the Slovak parliament accused the Ukrainian ambassador of Russophobia
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia does not intend to interfere with members of the country's parliament planning to visit Crimea in early August as part of a delegation that, in addition to politicians, will also include representatives of big business.

The Ukrainian ambassador in Bratislava, the publication recalls, threatened Slovak politicians that they would be denied entry into the territory of Ukraine.
“This is a private trip, and we can’t imagine how we would even have the right to ban something like that,” the Slovak Foreign Ministry commented on the Ukrainian diplomat’s threats.
In turn, the Chairman of the Slovak Parliament Andrei Danko said that Slovak deputies can travel whenever and wherever they want, and no ambassador has the right to prohibit them from doing so.
“The Ukrainian ambassador violated diplomatic protocol. If he has any complaints, he can submit them to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country. The ambassador has no right to intimidate Slovak parliamentarians with the laws of his state. This is not the first time that we are outraged by the behavior of Mr. Mushka, who often does not comply with diplomatic norms of behavior,” Danko said.
He added that there is nothing illegal in the planned trip of Slovak parliamentarians to Crimea.
“If Slovak deputies could travel to Kosovo, whose independence Bratislava does not recognize, then I don’t understand why they should suddenly refrain from visiting Crimea. I am against manifestations of Russophobia. In addition, one must understand that traveling to regions whose status is controversial is one of the tasks of politicians. That is, they should be able to assess the situation in the region with their own eyes, and then provide this or that information to the citizens of the country,” believes the head of the Slovak parliament.
It is indicated that the delegation will include five parliamentarians from different parties, as well as about ten large entrepreneurs. In addition, Slovak journalists and public figures will participate in the trip.
“Our goal is to get acquainted with the situation in the region and improve relations with Crimea. There is nothing illegal here. The Ukrainian Ambassador, of course, has the right to express his opinion. Nevertheless, I would like to hear arguments from him, and not just threats. In addition, we understand that his statements reflect the position of the current government in Kyiv, but not the entire Ukrainian people.
It is obvious that Ukraine is now acting in the interests of certain individuals in Washington and Brussels, who want as many disputes as possible between Russia and its traditional partners. But Slovaks, Russians, Ukrainians and other Slavic peoples should be friends, not quarrel. After all, there are all the prerequisites for this,” emphasized National Council member Petr Marchek, who will lead the delegation.
At the same time, co-chairman of Business Russia Andrei Nazarov said that the Slovak delegation will have the opportunity to visit Crimean production, meet with ministers and entrepreneurs of the region, and they will also be able to get better acquainted with life on the peninsula.
