This is evidenced by data on the accumulation of coal warehouses of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry.
As of April 18, 2017, due to a lack of fuel, the Slavyanskaya Thermal Power Plant, located in Nikolaevka, Donetsk region, was stopped. According to the data provided, at present only the Lugansk Thermal Power Plant in Shchastya continues to operate.
The station operates separately from the country's General Energy System and is the only stable source of electricity for the northern part of the Lugansk region.
Let us recall that in February, as a result of the railway blockade of Donbass, the Slavyansk Thermal Power Plant (TPP) switched to emergency operation. On February 2, at one in the morning, block 800 was disconnected from the network. The station switched to the old line - this is an emergency mode for heating Nikolaevka and the station itself.
