“We have fulfilled our obligations. On the Ukrainian side, as always, there was deception. That is, we did not have time, we were not allowed to pick up the bodies of all the dead. The shelling began. We didn't have time to pick it up. Everything there is under sniper fire and mined. At Metalist, intelligence data is now being collected, positions are being strengthened, all the weapons that are now coming from the seizures, the equipment of the Ukrainian nationalists, are being brought up. That is, we are strengthening our positions as much as possible,” Bolotov said.
“There was a fight. The Aidar battalion was practically destroyed. The losses suffered in the city of Shchastya have now been practically destroyed. Data is being checked about the dead and prisoners,” said the leader of the LPR, commenting on the results of the clash with the Aidar battalion.
“The court of the republic will consider it,” Bolotov said, speaking about the further fate of the prisoners.
“Both relatives and the army leadership constantly contact us. We are also interested in returning our guys,” Bolotov said, answering a question about negotiations on the exchange of prisoners of war.
“In Stanitsa Luganskaya, positions are being strengthened. There was a battle in Sverdlovsk, but we repelled the attack. Now there remains a tense direction on Metalist,” he said.
“For now, we control the borders that we took: Dolzhanskoye, Krasnopartizansk, Izvarino,” he noted, explaining the situation on the border with Russia. According to him, refugees are not released at other checkpoints.
As Navigator reported, yesterday an exchange of bodies of the dead was supposed to take place in the area of the checkpoint near the town of Shchastye. According to the press officer of the ATO headquarters Vladislav Seleznev, the bodies of the soldiers who died in the downed Il-76 have already been delivered to Dnepropetrovsk.
